Helen Runting Architectures of the Unbuilt Environment, thesis publication, Shool of Architecture, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, 2018
Working around the guidelines on format and type sizing set by the faculty, this dissertation had to balance a certain formality and present like a theory book while also reflecting the author’s work questioning what does theory look like today.
The gatefold coverspread utilises colour gradients to break up and camoflage the true shape of the book block just as architectural renders produce ghostly images of unbuilt realities. These pastel fogs carry through pages to the article title openers.
